Thursday 5 November 2015

Last night was a huge success for the who’s who of the payments sector, after scooping some of the industries most coveted awards at the prestigious annual Payments Awards.

Top names in the industry including Barclays, Transport for London, Digital River and Fiserv gathered at the glittering ceremony, held at the London Marriott Hotel, to recognise and celebrate cards and payments excellence as well as technological innovation.

Transport for London was a big winner of the night, taking home not one, but two awards. Walking away with the Best Contactless Payments Project Award as well being crowned the Overall Winner of the night, the transport giant cemented its place as a leading innovator within the industry.

White label cross-border payments service provider, Earthport, also earned its placed amongst the industry’s elite after picking up the Best Alternative Payments Project Award as well as the Payments Pioneer Award.

Financial services technology company, Fiserv, beat off stiff competition to be crowned Technology Provider of the Year, whilst global cloud commerce company, Digital River, collected one of the most sought-after awards after being named Most Disruptive Payments Technology.

In addition our client Kount, a leading provider of fraud detection and sales boosting technology, took home the coveted Anti Fraud Solution of The Year Award for an impressive third year in a row. Kount won ahead of fraud prevention software provider Risk Ident, who were recognised as being highly commended at their first Payments Awards.

The award recognised Kount’s ability to aid merchants in slashing chargeback rates. The judging panel of industry insiders were impressed by evidence which proved how Kount’s security solutions were able to cut chargeback rates and increase sales and profitability for clients such as CD Baby, Busted Teez and Paymentez.

The Payments Awards aim to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding achievement within the payments sector. Judged by industry experts, winning entries come from those companies, individuals and organisations who have launched and implemented the most outstanding payments solutions, initiatives and projects over the past year.
