SKYPARLOUR RETURNS FROM THE HEART OF THE PAYMENTS COMMUNITY AT TRANSACT 14
Thursday 1 May 2014

SkyParlour is reflecting on this month’s busy trip to the Electronic Transactions Association’s (ETA) largest trade show in 24 years; TRANSACT 14. We played a key role supporting ETA at an event that attracted a global attendance from 1000 companies operating in the payments industry.

Taking place in Las Vegas, TRANSACT 14 featured over 220,000 square feet of innovations in payments technology, educational opportunities, including the Data Breach Summit and Operation Chokepoint Boot Camp, and a host of essential networking events.

SkyParlour was at the heart of the action, hosting the press room and working with ETA on press briefings for the duration of the event, with a record press list including CNBC, TechCrunch, CNET, San Francisco Business Times, The Green Sheet and Mobile Marketing and Technology.

Alongside managing interviews for Jason Oxman, CEO of ETA and Scott Talbot, SVP Government Affairs at ETA, SkyParlour also supported ETA’s social media presence and provided daily press releases detailing all the action throughout the event.

Day two in the press room proved lively, with an exclusive press luncheon led by Jason Oxman and including insight from Mike Strawhecker (The Strawhecker Group), publisher of the Economic Indicators Report, and Scott Talbot, revealing an overview of new technologies being released on the show floor and predictions on the legislative and regulatory framework for payments and data breaches.

Day three saw Andrew Henwood, CEO of Foregenix and longstanding SkyParlour client, take to the stage to talk about The Cost and Effect of Cyber-Crime and Data Breaches and What EMV Migration Will Mean for Online Fraudsters”, using his wealth of experience in IT security and data forensics to give essential advice on combating cyber-crime. As well as facilitating the presentation, SkyParlour supported Andrew with media interviews with Cardnotpresent.com, The Paypers and Digital Transactions.

SkyParlour was pleased to be part of the action at another very successful show. Keep an eye out as the ETA gears up for next year’s even bigger TRANSACT 15 in San Francisco 03.31.15 – 04.02.15.
