Foregenix, an independent and specialist data security business, has been invited by MasterCard and Payments Association of South Africa (PASA) to share its global expertise of data discovery and network segmentation with South African system operators and merchants in the region to help minimise the risk posed by cyber-criminals at the MasterCard and PASA PCI Seminar 2013.
With system operators and merchants continually targeted by cyber-criminals in the attempt to steal valuable payment card account data and commit fraud, Foregenix Director Andrew Henwood will talk about PCI requirements and share his knowledge on the tools and opportunities available to help minimise risk.
As experts in PCI and the first Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) globally to certify two Point-to-Point-Encryption (P2PE) devices, Foregenix are looking forward to sharing their knowledge.
Speaking ahead of the event, Andrew Henwood, said: “Unprotected card holder data is everywhere and PCI DSS and being secure is hard if not approached strategically.
“We’re looking forward to sharing our first hand expertise of PCI compliance with delegates and showing them how focusing on simplifying the cardholder data environment and reducing the scope will reduce long term costs.”
The two stage conference is taking place on July 29 & 30 at Pick n Pay Conference Centre in Cape Town and August 1 & 2 at Bankservafrica in Johannesburg. If you’d like to find out more about Foregenix and its global expertise visit www.foregenix.com
